Regular readers can probably guess what I'm going to talk about - yes, my big campaign that I don't know if anyone in the world is supporting, but I will rave on about it anyway.
About a year ago, because it was in response to a National Health Blog Post Month topic last November, I began the Lupus Business Directory as a practical means to help out with a major problem that faces people with chronic illnesses.
Many of us have our ability to earn our income limited by our health. At the same time we incur increased costs in form of medical bills, prescriptions, and other therapies. There are some costs that no-one would expect, for example, I had to change to an automatic car because changing gears in my old car hurt too much.
In an effort to subsidise our income a number of us have started businesses, sometimes incredibly small businesses. Some of these businesses are aimed at selling products we use for therapy. (I write, and do artwork for teeshirts - trying to keep my brain functioning. Other people do art, make beaded jewellery, sew, knit, make handcrafted Christmas decorations, etc.) Most of these businesses are far too small to have any kind of advertising budget.
What I'm doing with the directory, is listing these businesses as I find out about them, in hope that it will become a resource that people actually use. The directory brings together businesses with a wide range of products - and the one thing they have in common is that when you buy from them, you are helping someone with a chronic illness to meet their day-to-day living costs.

As with most of the businesses in the Directory, I have no budget to promote this.
If you would like to help, please share the link (with or without the image on the left) as far as you are able. Share it on blogs, social media, copy it and email it to your friends.
